About Unstuck

Unstuck explains crypto exchange account problems: the sign-up form, identity checks that keep failing, a proof of address that gets rejected, an authenticator lost with an old phone, a withdraw-only notice. Each page starts from the message a reader actually sees and ends with the next thing to do.

Who writes it

Unstuck is run by a small independent editorial team and published under the site’s name rather than under personal bylines. We are not an exchange, a broker or a law firm, we have no access to anyone’s account, and we are not connected to the support teams of the exchanges we write about.

How a page gets made

  1. We start from the questions readers ask and the exact wording exchanges show on screen.
  2. We read the exchange’s own help pages, terms and announcements for that problem, and where a general guide compares exchanges, the same pages for each exchange it names. Standards bodies and regulators are used for background on why checks exist.
  3. Each page says which official pages it relies on and the month we read them. If we could not find an official statement — a review time, an error code’s meaning — the page says so instead of guessing.
  4. When an exchange changes a rule, the page is updated and its date changes. Substantial factual corrections are listed on the corrections page.

The full version of these rules is in our editorial policy.

The site contains a Binance referral code and link: the code is on the home page and on two step-by-step guides, and those two guides also have one referral link each. Which pages carry them, and what they mean for you, is on the referral disclosure page. They don’t decide what we write: pages about other exchanges list their rules as those exchanges publish them.

Unstuck is not an official Binance website and does not speak for Binance or any other exchange.

What we can’t do

We can’t look at, unlock or verify an account, and we will never ask for a password, a two-factor code, a selfie or a copy of an ID. Anyone offering to pass verification for you in our name is not us — see fake support and scam messages.
