Binance face verification not working? Find where it stops and what to change

Pick the point where the face check stops. You get what Binance's pages say about that point, the next thing to change, and when to stop retrying and appeal instead.

Binance's conditions for the face check

Pick where it stops

The check can stop at different points, each for a different reason. These are the face check conditions on Binance's identity and face verification pages:

  • Camera access allowed
  • No hat, glasses, mask or filter, nothing covering your face
  • Enough light on your face
  • Whole face visible, centred and inside the frame, eyes open
  • Device steady at eye level, looking straight at the camera
  • Plain background behind you
  • Clean camera lens and a clear picture
  • Done in one go, without switching apps or refreshing

Quotes from Binance's help pages, checked October 2026; each one names its page. The checker never asks for your camera and does not connect to Binance.

Seven points where Binance facial verification can stop

The face check fails for different reasons at different points, so the checker starts from the point you reached. Each answer gives Binance’s words for that point, what to change, and when to stop. The questions about your device, the checklist and your refusals only appear for the points where they change the answer.

Where it stopsWhat Binance’s pages sayNextWhen to stop
The camera doesn’t open“Please enable camera access on your device.” The website also lets you scan a QR code and carry on with your phone.Allow camera access, or move to your phone with the QR codeIt won’t open on a second device either: appeal

It finishes, then says it failed“Do not wear hats, glasses, or use filters, and make sure that the lighting is sufficient.” The app adds: whole face visible, centred, eyes open.Fix what’s unticked in the checklist, then one attempt in one goOur suggestion: stop before 10 refusals in 24 hours and appeal
The head-movement prompts don’t register“Follow the instructions on the screen.” The app adds: “Center your face in the frame”. The face verification page: turn your head slowly or blink when asked.Keep your whole face in the frame and follow each promptOur suggestion: stop before 10 refusals in 24 hours and appeal
It asks for my face at withdrawal or login“You may be required to complete facial identification when attempting to access your account”. The withdrawal page: “Facial verification may fail due to technical difficulties or device issues”, which is why there is an appeal checked by people.Face ID or face unlock set up on the phone, checklist ticked; if it fails at withdrawal, [Appeal], then the [Facial Verification Appeal] pageFails at login, or no [Appeal] button: contact Binance customer support

If the screen shows a number such as 133197, no Binance help page we read explains it. Go by the point where the check stopped, and quote the number exactly if you contact support.

Eight face scan conditions from Binance’s help pages

The eight ticks are the face-check conditions on two Binance pages: the identity verification page, with its website and app steps, and the face verification page. They are camera access; no hat, glasses, mask or filter; enough light; the whole face visible, centred and inside the frame, with eyes open; the device steady at eye level while you look straight at the camera; a plain background; a clean lens and a clear picture; and finishing without refreshing or leaving the app. The checker shows Binance’s sentence, and which page it’s from, next to anything you haven’t ticked. If the check finishes and fails, or the prompts don’t register, with everything ticked, it stops suggesting changes and points to the appeal, because nothing else on those pages is left to change.

The face verification page also lists setting up your phone’s own face recognition (Face ID on an iPhone, face unlock on Android) first. That page describes the face check Binance asks for when you log in or use features such as withdrawals, so that point appears only in the answer for a face check at withdrawal or login.

Three steps are labelled “General phone and browser steps, not from Binance”: resetting camera permission in your phone or browser settings, closing apps that hold the camera, and updating the Binance app or your browser. They are ordinary phone and browser fixes, kept apart so you can tell them from Binance’s own wording.

Nothing here replaces you in front of the camera. Binance’s face verification page says the check is mandatory and can’t be removed, and the checker never asks for your camera. What you tick isn’t saved or sent anywhere.

How many failed attempts before you wait 24 hours

Binance’s page on verification for migrant residents says “You may attempt to complete the Identity Verification process up to 10 times per day. If your application has been denied 10 times within 24 hours, please wait 24 hours to try again.” Binance’s identity verification and face verification pages give no number, so the checker names the page the figure comes from and doesn’t present it as a rule for everyone.

Enter how many times you’ve been refused in the last 24 hours, as a whole number. Below 10, you see how many are left. At 10, add the day and time of the last refusal and the checker adds 24 hours, shown in your own time zone. Binance’s page doesn’t say when the 24 hours start, so we count them from the last refusal. If the clocks change in between, the time shown moves with them, because it is 24 real hours. A number above 10 counts as 10. Without the time it just says to wait 24 hours from the last refusal, rather than guess. The count appears when another attempt is the next step: the camera doesn’t open, it stays on loading, it finishes and fails, or the prompts don’t register.

Two ways to appeal, and where each one starts

  • Facial Verification Appeal. Binance’s page on reactivating withdrawals says [Appeal] takes you to the [Facial Verification Appeal] page; the same page shows an [Appeal] button in a pop-up on the app’s Withdraw screen. Binance says you may get security questions first, should follow the examples on the page for the materials, can add context under [Additional Information], and will hear back by SMS or email. If you can’t see the [Appeal] button, it says to contact Binance Support.
  • Appeal KYC Rejection or Failed Facial Verification Appeal. In the app or on the website, open your profile, then the headphone or chat icon, “View more” under Self-Service, and scroll to the KYC section. Binance’s privacy page says these go to KYC support agents for a manual review.

Binance’s face verification page adds one line for a check that fails: contact Binance customer support.

The quotes are from Binance’s help pages as they read in October 2026. Binance can reword these conditions, so check the current page or the app before your next attempt.

More detail sits in Binance face verification failed and face verification stuck on loading. If it’s the general liveness step you’re stuck on, liveness check failed compares several exchanges’ rules, and the verification wait clock shows how long an appeal has been waiting.
