Which verification step a Binance message comes from
It compares the English words you paste with eighteen kinds of message described on Binance’s help pages. Binance explains verification problems step by step, so the lookup checks all eighteen but shows the ones for the step you pick first. A match from another step, or any match while the step is on “Not sure”, also says at which step that message usually appears.
A match marked Same words as Binance’s page means your message contains wording that appears on one of Binance’s pages. Same topic, different wording means it doesn’t: Binance’s help pages don’t quote that exact message, and the lookup is going by words such as “camera” or “under review”. If those words are part of a longer message Binance’s pages quote for another problem, the longer message decides: “Your withdrawal is currently under review” is a withdrawal hold, not an identity review. If the message only says something like “Verification failed, please try again”, its words fit any step, so the lookup goes by the step you picked; with no step picked, it shows both the document step and the face check. In every case the quotes under the match are Binance’s own sentences, each with the page it comes from and that page’s update date.
You see up to three possible answers: ones for your step first, then the one closest to Binance’s exact wording, then the one with the most words in common.
What you paste stays in your browser and isn’t sent anywhere. Leave out ID numbers, names and addresses anyway; the lookup doesn’t need them.
Wait, retry or stop: the six possible next steps
- Wait. The review is still running, or Binance’s page gives a time to wait before the next try. The verification wait clock counts a review against Binance’s published time.
- Change something and retry. Binance’s page lists conditions you can meet: camera access, light, a document of the right type and date.
- Do what Binance asks. A step is missing, such as finishing verification, an Update Identity request, a re-verification or an appeal.
- Stop: no new upload fixes this. Two problems get this next step: an identity already used on another account, and a service that isn’t available where you live. That step is our call, not Binance’s wording: for each, Binance’s pages give a different path, not a new upload. The lookup gives that path and no other.
- Not a verification problem. Binance’s withdrawal page lists security holds and anti-scam checks as their own measures, apart from identity verification.
- Check the sender first. For an email or text that claims to be Binance: check it on Binance Verify before you do anything it asks.
Binance verification error codes such as 133197
If your screen shows a number, put it in the number box. A number pasted on its own, or after “error” or “code” in the message, is picked up too; dates and phone numbers aren’t. No Binance help page we read explains verification error codes, including 133197, so the lookup won’t guess what one means. It tells you what Binance says about the step you’re on, and suggests quoting the number exactly when you contact Binance Support.

| Verified, but something is still limited | still limited, limits, verification level | Your region or payment channel may need a higher level; limits show on [Identification] | Do what Binance asks |
| An email or text that says it’s from Binance | email, SMS, link | “Binance will never request funds or tokens via private communications.” | Check the sender first |

What the lookup can’t tell you
It can’t see your account, and it doesn’t know why Binance made a decision. Binance doesn’t publish a full list of its messages or its reasons, so the eighteen kinds of message in the table are our own sorting of Binance’s published wording, not a list Binance keeps. The lookup reads English only and the first 300 characters of what you paste.
For a longer walk through each message, see Binance verification failed. The face verification checker, the proof of address date check and the source of funds documents list take over when your answer points to one of them.
