Binance Account Verified but Still Limited? Why, and What Lifts Each Limit

Start with [Profile] - [Security] and count the 2FA methods switched on. Of the four causes on Binance’s help page, it’s the quickest to check.

Binance’s why-verify help page, Why Do I Need to Complete Identity Verification for My Binance Account?, answers this under the question “Why am I still experiencing problems with withdrawals from my Binance account?” Each cause it gives has its own fix.

  • Contact Binance Support with the missing information if what you sent for verification was incomplete. The page says that in that case “withdrawals will be temporarily suspended from your account.”
  • Contact Binance Support to verify your identity if you’ve been signing in from several IP addresses. The page says Binance treats that as “suspicious” and pauses withdrawals to protect your assets.
  • Complete identity verification on the Binance website or app, face step included, if you skipped the face scan, or give Binance Support more information. Without the face step, “your withdrawal amount will be limited”.
  • Switch on more 2FA methods under [Profile] - [Security]. In the page’s words, “You need to activate at least three authentications before you can withdraw funds.”

The page’s list stops there, and other Binance pages describe pauses that have nothing to do with verification. So go by what the withdrawal screen actually does; the causes are our reading of Binance’s pages.

Withdrawals limited with fewer than three 2FA methods

Check this one first, since it needs nobody else. Open [Profile] - [Security] and count what’s switched on.

The why-verify page describes 2FA as protecting your account “with two factors or locks”, and gives “passkeys, Binance Authenticator, and SMS verification” as examples before setting the number at three. It doesn’t say whether email verification or other methods count towards the three, so the three kinds it names are the safe choice; if you can’t use one of them, ask Binance Support which methods count.

The three comes from the why-verify page alone. Binance’s sign-up pages “highly recommend enabling at least 1 two-factor authentication (2FA)”, so an account set up exactly as they suggest can still be two short.

SMS may not be open to you. If your country isn’t on Binance’s list of supported countries for SMS verification (updated February 2026), ask Binance Support which methods count towards the three rather than guess.

We read the why-verify page (updated 2 April 2026) in October 2026, and a required count is the kind of detail that gets revised, so open it again before you add methods to reach three.

Add a passkey first if your phone can take one, because Binance’s passkey page (updated 10 December 2025) lets you create it with your phone’s screen lock or PIN, among other options. The page says the feature needs the Binance app 2.60 or above, on iOS 16 or above or Android 9 or above.

In the app, go to [Account Center], the profile section at the top, [Security], then [Passkeys (Biometrics)] and [Add Passkey]. You may have to confirm with a 2FA method you already have.

The passkey page mentions no withdrawal pause after you add one, but Binance’s page How to Reactivate the Withdrawal Function for My Binance Account? does say that certain security operations, “such as changing your password”, suspend withdrawals for 24 to 48 hours, and “the suspension cannot be lifted before the suspension period ends.” If a countdown appears after you’ve changed your security settings, wait it out.

Stop adding methods if the app asks for an authenticator you no longer have. That calls for a reset, and resetting Binance 2FA after losing your authenticator walks through it, including the withdrawal hold that follows.

Withdrawals suspended with no countdown

With three methods on and no timer on the screen, that leaves two causes from Binance’s list. Your verification details were incomplete, or you’ve signed in from several IP addresses. The page sends both to Binance Support without saying how you’d tell them apart from your side, so describe what you see and let support say which it is.

Open the chat from inside the Binance app or website rather than from a link in a message. Getting from Binance’s support bot to a person shows the buttons. In the first message, include:

  • the wording on the withdrawal screen, copied exactly;
  • the date withdrawals stopped;
  • any new phone, computer or network you’ve signed in from recently;
  • which 2FA methods are switched on.

Those four cover both causes in one message.

If support describes sign-ins you didn’t make, deal with that before the withdrawal. Binance’s disable page (updated 24 November 2025) offers disabling the account when you notice suspicious activity, to protect your assets, starting from [Account Info] - [Security] in the app. Getting back in afterwards takes its own security checks, and Binance’s page on unlocking an account asks you to allow up to 48 hours before you can withdraw. So we’d only do this when the sign-ins really weren’t yours, and tell support you’ve done it.

Support may also ask for a statement video. Binance’s page on statement videos (published 13 May 2025) wants your face clearly in shot while you hold up the information page of your ID, and a spoken statement that starts “Today is DD-MM-YYYY” and gives the coin and amount, a clear authorisation, the purpose and your account email. No watermarks, no editing, and a photo of the same ID goes with it.

If you can’t speak English, the page lets you hold up the English statement and explain it in your own language. Record one only when the request comes in a chat you opened yourself.

A different screen means a different fix. If the Withdraw Crypto page shows an alert with [Withdraw appeal], the withdrawal page covers it under “How to appeal if my identity verification failed?” and says to click it “then submit the required documents”. The appeal options for a failed Binance verification give the app’s version and what to change before you send it. If you can’t see an [Appeal] button, the page says to contact Binance Support. Once verification is approved, it says “your account’s withdrawal function will be resumed shortly.”

Stop appealing once support tells you the restriction follows a law enforcement order or a regulatory obligation. The withdrawal page says “not all account restrictions are open for appeal”, particularly in instances involving “law enforcement orders or regulatory obligations”.

Withdrawal limit too low? Small amounts work, larger ones don’t

Of the causes on Binance’s list, the face step is the one that fits a cap, because it’s the one the why-verify page ties to a limited withdrawal amount.

For the limit itself, the why-verify page says to “refer to the limits stated in [Identification]”, and the personal verification page says “Please refer to the [Identification] page for the most updated withdrawal limits”, adding that Binance reviews its products and services on an ongoing basis. On the website, hover over the profile icon, click [Account] and go to [Identification].

To raise the limit, the why-verify page says “you can complete the identity verification on the Binance website or app”, or contact Binance Support to provide additional information for verification.

For a skipped face step, look first at [Identification], where Binance’s personal verification page starts identity verification. If nothing on it offers the face step, the support option is the one left.

The scan compares “a real-time image of your face with the image on your ID documents”, according to Binance’s face verification page (published 22 October 2025). That page lists withdrawals and “increasing deposit limits” among the features that can call for a scan, so a prompt can also appear when you withdraw. If it fails after you’ve allowed the camera, taken off any hat, glasses or mask and found good light, stop retrying. What to change after a failed Binance face check covers the appeal, and what to send if someone else appeared in your face video.

If the face step has passed review and [Identification] still shows the same limit, contact support and quote the figure your account shows, as support is the other way the why-verify page gives to raise it.

When it isn’t a verification limit

Binance’s withdrawal pages tell you to wait out two kinds of pause.

A countdown. For “Your withdrawal may be at risk. You can try again in 24 hours.”, the withdrawal page says your withdrawal is under review and to wait for Binance’s emails about it. The 48-hour version is “a security measure to protect your assets” and can’t be lifted early. Neither message asks you for documents. If the same message is back after the wait and no email has come, ask support then, quoting it.

One coin. Binance’s page What Can I Do When Withdrawal Services Are Temporarily Suspended? (published 14 May 2021) names wallet maintenance, and network upgrades that pause “withdrawals of a specific asset”. For a paused coin, “You’ll see an estimated recovery time and the reason(s) for the suspension”. Click [Set Reminder] on the withdrawal page to get updates. If the coin shows neither, look at the page’s third case, a suspension of your account’s withdrawal function, which is the suspended withdrawals case.

Verified Plus and other checks your region or payment method may need

Being [Verified] doesn’t settle every option on the account. The personal verification page says your level on [Identification] is the one “which determines the trading limit of your Binance account”, and that “Based on your region or selected payment channels, you may need to increase your identity verification level to improve your account security.”

Where the next level is [Verified Plus], it’s a proof of address. On the website, go to [Profile] - [Account] - [Identification] and click [Get Verified Plus]. In the app it’s [Account Center] - [Profile] - [Verifications] - [Get Verified Plus]. Enter your address, choose the document type and upload it. Binance’s address page (updated 20 April 2026) says the review “may take up to 1-2 working days” and that “There is no need to contact the Support Center.” Once it’s approved, look at [Identification] again to see what [Verified Plus] has changed, and if the payment option still asks for more, ask support what it needs.

Fiat services can ask for more on top. Binance’s page on additional verification before its fiat service (updated 19 December 2025) says the check starts when you begin using that service, and describes three versions of it.

  1. A further ID check, then “a short questionnaire”.
  2. A questionnaire on its own, “with 4 simple questions”.
  3. Enhanced due diligence, where you may be asked to upload documents declaring your source of wealth.

The review time is on Binance’s enhanced due diligence page (updated 6 October 2026) instead. After the declaration, “please allow up to 3 to 10 business days for review”, and some features may stay restricted until the check is complete. Answering Binance’s source of funds request goes through the declaration and the documents for each source.

Moved country since you verified? Binance’s address update page (last updated 27 November 2024) puts the change under [Identification], then [Edit Address]. It warns that a new country can mean resetting your KYC, that products can come and go with it, and it sends you to Customer Service to find out what the new country allows.

Sometimes a payment option wants your identity documents updated rather than a new level. Two of the reasons Binance’s personal verification page accepts for [Update Identity] on [Identification] are documents “to meet specific fiat channels’ requirements” and documents “to meet Binance Card requirements”. Binance’s update page says that once you declare an update, the account is restricted to “Withdrawal Only” mode until all the new information is submitted and verified, and it gives no review time. So we’d start [Update Identity] only after any trade or deposit you have planned.

Checking your limit, face scans and second accounts

Where do I check my Binance withdrawal limit?

On the [Identification] page. Binance’s why-verify page says to “refer to the limits stated in [Identification]”, and its personal verification page calls it the place for “the most updated withdrawal limits”.

Can Binance Support raise my limit without the face scan?

The Binance help pages we read don’t say. The page on why verification is needed doesn’t spell out what the “additional information” for support is, and Binance’s face verification page says facial verification “is mandatory and cannot be removed or bypassed.” If your phone or camera is what keeps failing, Binance’s withdrawal page says facial verification “may fail due to technical difficulties or device issues”, and that is what its [Facial Verification Appeal] is for.

Would a second verified account give me a second withdrawal limit?

Not as a second personal account. Asked “Can I have 2 personal accounts verified?”, Binance’s personal verification page answers that if you already have a verified personal account, “you can either create a separate entity account, or use our sub-account feature”, with up to 5 sub-accounts under your personal account. Neither option is a second personal account.

Will Binance tell me which of the causes applies to my account?

Binance’s page on why verification is needed doesn’t describe a notice for each cause. When Binance itself restricts an account, its withdrawal page says it normally tells the people affected “via email, SMS, or in-app notifications”, with more detail on the reasons in a pop-up at their next login. If neither has reached you, ask Binance Support.
