Locked out of an exchange account: 2FA, new phones and lost codes

For when you can’t get into an account you already have: the authenticator app was on a lost or reset phone, a code goes to a number you no longer use, or the email never arrives. These pages walk through how each exchange’s own reset works, what each one asks you to prove, and the withdrawal pause that usually follows a security change. They also explain how to move an authenticator before you switch phones.

  1. Lost Your Authenticator? Resetting Binance 2FA Step by Step

Log in on the Binance website, pick the method you’ve lost on the Security Verification Requirements page, then click [Security verification unavailable?] to start the reset.

  2. Lost or New Phone: Moving Google Authenticator and Exchange 2FA, or Resetting It

If your authenticator codes were synced to a Google Account, signing in on the new phone brings them back. If not, copy them from the old phone, or reset 2FA at each exchange.

  3. Does Binance Have a Customer Service Number? How to Reach Real Support

Not one listed on any Binance page we checked. Support runs through a chat on Binance’s website and app, where a bot answers first and can pass you to a person.

  4. Fake KYC Texts and "Exchange Support" Calls: Five Checks Before You Reply

Two tests come straight from exchange help centres: a real request is also waiting when you sign in on your own, and real staff don’t want secrets or coins. Fail either one and treat it as fake.

  5. Liveness Check Failed on a Crypto Exchange? Four Places a Face Scan Stops

Start from what’s on your screen. A camera that never opened needs a permission or another device; a scan that ended in a refusal needs better light, a clear face or a person to review it.

  6. Exchange Verification Code Not Received? Email and SMS Checks in Order

Find where the code went before asking again: email codes hide in spam, junk or another inbox, and texts fail on coverage, signal or a blocked sender. Help centres also want a gap between requests.
